"Mi casa es tu casa"
Bolivar has been called "mi casa" by the Garcia Ceja family for four generations. It was jointly bought by family members in 1987.
Bolivar Progress is a fund formed to identify, acquire and grow an outstanding existing U.S.-based private company with an initial enterprise value between $10 and $40 million. We are a people-focused business that aims to do right by all stakeholders. Our mission is to create value through progress while staying focused on the long-term.
A partnership with Bolivar means joining the family.
As a family-owned and operated business, we take a more personal approach to our investments. We understand the challenges and nuances that come with running a family business and are here to help you navigate through them. From the small things like finding the right insurance coverage to the big things like succession planning, we are here to help you every step of the way.
Unlike the traditional private equity firm, we focus on working with businesses that fit our specific criteria and that we can help grow over the long term. This allows us to provide the hands-on attention that your business needs to succeed. We understand that the path to success is not always linear, and we are committed to helping our portfolio companies navigate through challenges and emerge stronger on the other side.
A Latino woman and first-generation Mexican American, Adriana has founded Bolivar Progress Partners to invest in businesses that have the potential to make a real difference in the lives of their employees, customers, and communities. She has turned Bolivar into a vehicle for entrepreneurs to acquire a business and realize their dream of business ownership.
The problem with the traditional search fund model is that it often benefits the investor more than the entrepreneur, who takes all the risk but has little to show for it in the end. Adriana is changing that with Bolivar, which puts the needs of the entrepreneur first. We understand that it takes more than just capital to grow a business – it takes hard work, dedication, and a willingness to take risks.
We solve the deep-rooted issues holding your business back and help you realize your full potential. Whether it's working with you to develop and execute a growth strategy, providing access to our network of industry experts, or simply offering advice and guidance, we are here to help you succeed.
Once we have identified an attractive target, we work diligently to build a strong relationship with the owners and management team. We believe that open and honest communication is the key to a successful partnership. For us, it's not just about acquiring a business; it's about finding the right business to acquire. If you are interested in selling your business or would like to learn more about our investment thesis, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
